This is an early Civil Service Honor Award for 25 years of loyal service in its original issue box. In keeping with similar awards for the military, Hitler established this civil award on 01-30-38. The Civil Service Honor Award was given to civil servants, clerks, and public service workers. It was designed by Professor Richard Klein of Munich. If this one is near mint. It has a sewn on pin attachment for wear. The box does show some signs of wear. The edges and corners remain firmly glued. The box is marked Roman Palme Metall-Kunstwaren. A wonderful decoration to add to any collection!
